Development of mt32-pi, a baremetal MIDI synthesizer for Raspberry Pi, has been discontinued due to community harassment and intellectual property misuse, affecting the creator's mental health. The project, which enabled vintage PC and MiSTer FPGA setups with MT-32 emulation and SoundFont support, remains stable but will receive no further updates.

Servo project has seen significant growth in 2024 with a 143% increase in unique contributors and 163% increase in merged pull requests, returning to 2018-2019 activity levels. The project has expanded its platform support to Android and OpenHarmony, while passing 1.5M WPT subtests and attracting various applications to use Servo as their web engine.

F-Droid received a $396,044 grant from Open Technology Fund to address sustainability challenges and enhance its infrastructure.
